It has been released by Netflix on March 21, 2025. This movie can be an excellent representation of Korean Drama. Watching this reminds me of the world famous Korean series “Squid Game”. After a long time, I have had the experience of watching a good K-Drama.

The story of the movie “Revelations 2025” is extremely interesting and full of excitement. Before analyzing its story, let’s talk about its most important character. “Ryn Jun-Yeol” has played the role of a church Father named “Sung Min-Chan”. This character represents the main role of the movie. Apart from the Church Father, “Shin Min-Jae”, also known as “Kwon Yang-Rae”, has played the role of a person with criminal tendencies. Netflix movie “Revelations” starts with “Sung Min-Chan.” He is a Father in a small town church. He works to guide people through their problems with his devotion to God.
Many people, influenced by his true devotion to God, often come to his church to pray. But despite the people’s help, the situation of your church does not improve. Those who have given him the responsibility of leading this church are Fathers of great renown. They are establishing another church in “Sung Min-Chan” village. “Sung” wants to serve God in that new church, that is, he wants to take the role of Father in that new church. But for some reason, he is unable to express his desire to his mentor, the elder Father.
One day, a person with a suspicious personality enters his church. Father Sung” tries to get general information about him. That man tries to ignore “Father’s” words and just wants to leave the church any way he can. But “Father Sung” engages him in conversation, advises him to stay attached to the church and gets him to fill out a registration form. He asks for his name. The man introduces himself as “Kwon Yang-Rae.” After completing the registration form process, “Father Sung” tries to kick him out of the church. Meanwhile, he finds a gun, which makes him realize that “Kwon” is a criminal.
By the time this part of the film’s story unfolds, more than 20 minutes have already passed. Director “Yeon Sang-ho” has taken his time to build the story structure up to this point. So far, it looks like a run-of-the-mill Korean drama that can be easily ignored. But from here on, something terrible starts to happen in “Father Sung’s” life. He blames “Kwon Yang-Rae” for it. After “Kwon” enters the church, “Father Sung” starts to be caught in a dreadful crisis day by day.

How and what kind of trouble “Father Sung’s” life gets entangled in is a scene capable of thrilling the audience. Watching his exciting journey in the story has been an excellent experience for me. The writer of this story, “Choi Gyu-seok”, deserves recognition. He has created an outstanding story filled with elements of crime, suspense and thriller.
“Ryn Jun-Yeol” has played two different personalities in this two-hour movie. In the first part, he played a character full of wisdom, while on the contrary, in the second part of the story, he played the role of a person with a kind of psychopathic personality. Any actor faces many difficulties in portraying such a complex personality, but “Ryn Jun-Yeol” doesn’t seem to struggle with it on screen. This proves that he is an amazing actor.
Can I watch this movie once?
At first, it seems like a normal movie. But after about 30 minutes or so, it starts to show that it is an excellent crime, suspense and thriller based movie.
