Wolf King

A boy named Drew discovers something about himself that astounds him. He becomes powerful by transforming into a wolf. Before he gets this power, he has to face many new secrets about himself. After its premiere on Netflix, The Wolf King entered the top 10 most watched TV shows in many countries in just a few hours. This clearly shows that people are really enjoying this cartoon series. Here I have reviewed the history of The Wolf King TV Show and highlighted some of its shortcomings.

The Wolf King Review – Story Summary

The Wolf King story begins with two brothers named Trent and Drew. They both pick fruit from the harbor and head back to their village before night falls. As they make their way home, Drew’s eyes sparkle for a moment as he gazes at the moon. Drew’s mother already knows some of her young son Drew’s secret powers. Drew has the power to transform into a wolf. After becoming a wolf, he remains half human and half wolf. His physical strength also increases several times.

Drew does not know this power. He considers himself a normal boy. When both brothers arrive home from the port, it is already night. Looking at the moon in that dark night, Drew starts to feel something different. Just then, an unknown animal arrives at their house, and at that moment Drew and his mother are together. That unknown creature fatally attacks Drew’s mother and kills her right there. After killing Drew’s mother, that unknown creature flees their house.

When Trent and his father arrive home, Trent sees his mother dead. Upon seeing her corpse, Drew’s father immediately understands that his wife was not killed by anyone, but by Drew himself. This is still his big mistake. They do not try to understand the reason and immediately accuse Drew of his own mother’s death and try to kill him. Drew tries his best to explain this incident to his older brother and his father, but his father won’t hear of it.

In the last moments before Drew’s mother dies, she tells him to go to Brackenholme and find a person named Duke Bergan, and then he takes his last breath and dies right there. Upon seeing his dead wife, Drew’s father and older brother try to kill him, so he flees from there. After fleeing his town, he begins to search for Duke Bergan. That night he learns for the first time of his powers, that he is no ordinary boy.

He is able to transform into a ferocious bear with his power. At the same time, his physical strength increases several times. After fleeing his village, he embarks on a new adventure. On this journey, he discovers many new secrets about himself. In this quest, he has to face many friends and even more enemies. So far, I have only told the story of the first few episodes of Wolf King without giving any spoilers. There are a total of 8 episodes in it. All of its episodes seem to advance the story adequately.

Wolf King’s biggest weakness

The story of this series is well written. But a big mistake has been made in animating it. When editing movies that are made all over the world, they are set to a visual screen rate of 24 FPS. 24 FPS is considered the best for human eyes. That’s why all movies have a visual video limit of 24 FPS. Netflix did not pay attention to this while animating this series. Their video scenes clearly look LAG to the eyes. This means that Wolf King’s editing was done at less than 24 FPS, which makes this series appear to stutter in the eyes. To understand this error, you have to look closely at the visual scenes.

Is watching Wolf King a waste of time?

The Netflix series Wolf King may be a better choice for teens and children. They may feel a connection to Wolf King because of the Wolf Man and his mysterious powers. After watching the first episode, they will surely like this series. Other than that, I can’t recommend it to older people. Because they may not like it so much after watching it. I can only advise young people and children to watch this series.
