A Copenhagen Love Story

A Copenhagen Love Story is a Danish film based on the problems of a couple. Just the thought of a woman being deprived of experiencing the most important role in her life, which is that of being a mother, is very painful. In fact, one can only feel sorry for women who go through this. Part of the story of the Netflix movie A Copenhagen Love Story is based on this. Netflix released this movie on their platform a few days ago. This movie connects with the genres of family relationships and romance.

I don’t feel any hype for this movie, although it can be categorized as a good romantic movie. I have finished watching it and now I want to comment on some parts of the story without giving spoilers and talk about its other aspects. Before moving on to the story, let’s get to know the names of the two main characters, which will make it easier to understand the foundation of this movie. This is a Danish film, and I had never seen any Danish film before this one. In the story, Rosalinde Mynster plays the role of a 30-year-old woman named Ria who is looking for a good life partner. Besides her, Joachim Fjelstrup plays the role of a father of two, whose name is Emil.

Review of A Love Story in Copenhagen: Story Summary

Mia is a young writer who has gained fame writing novels based on true events. But she is still disappointed that she does not have a good partner in her personal life. She doesn’t like to socialize much with people. She is 30 years old, but often dates men younger than her. Mia doesn’t even skimp on school-age boys. She also has physical relationships with them. She is a woman immersed in sensuality.

One day, her best friend Gro advises her to date Emil, her husband’s friend. Mia tries to avoid this advice from her friend. Gro introduces her to Emil for the first time, taking advantage of her personal relationship with Mia. Later, Mia makes a date plan with Emil and goes with him. She learns some new things about Emil that her friend Gro hadn’t told her. Emil is actually a divorced man who has two children.

Mia goes on several dates with Emil. She gradually grows closer to him and secretly falls in love. Mia had never dated a man her age before. She had always dated boys younger than her. After meeting Emil, she began to feel something different, a new feeling she had never experienced with anyone before. She becomes close friends with Emil, and Emil also loves Mia very much. But he has not yet introduced Mia to his two children.

Mia goes to Emil’s house to meet his children. Her children are slow to sympathize with her, but eventually Mia begins to like the two children. She feels these two children as her own. But one day, after seeing the children’s real mother, the desire to become a mother begins to arise in her mind. Now she expresses this desire to become a mother to Emil. Emil agrees to fulfill her wish. Thus, he will become the father of a total of three children.

Mia has sex with Emil to become a mother, but after trying for almost 9 months, she does not become pregnant. They both consult doctors about this problem to find a solution. After treatment and consulting doctors, Mia learns that physically she is completely fine for the process of becoming a mother, but due to Emil’s physical deficiency, she is still unsuccessful in getting pregnant. She is very desperate to become a mother and remains sad that this desire is not being fulfilled. This creates cracks in their relationship. There are many scenes in this film that make the viewer emotional.

Last opinion about Copenhagen Love Story

In this movie, Mia has tried to attract the viewers by displaying good acting. Young people may like her bold scenes. The emotional story connects with people. This movie is not boring at any point. There is no suspense or thriller, but it is an excellent romantic family drama. I recommend watching it to couples. This movie deserves at least 3 stars ⭐.
