Pia wants to achieve great success in life through her own efforts and has a deep passion for photography. She runs a portrait studio business in London, with her best friend Jay as her business partner.
Pia wants to excel in photography, but her studio fails to attract customers, making it unprofitable. She had taken a loan from the bank to start this studio, but due to its lack of profitability, she starts defaulting on her EMI payments.
Pia is 30 years old, and her mother, Laxmi, wants her to get married as soon as possible. However, Pia has no interest in marriage—she only wants to focus on her career. This leads to conflicts between Pia and her mother, but she reluctantly agrees to start dating. Sonal, Pia’s younger sister, is engaged to Sam. Before her sister’s wedding, Pia begins dating multiple men.
The family priest predicts that among the five men Pia dates, one will eventually become her husband.
Pia is a confused young woman who doesn’t really know what she wants in life. She simply tries to escape her problems. In the midst of this, she reunites with her college friend, Charlie. Back in college, Pia and Charlie were in a relationship, but family issues and personal struggles forced them apart.
In the end, Pia goes on dates with five different men and eventually falls in love with one of them, bringing the movie to its conclusion.
Acting and Background Score
The biggest highlight of the film is Simone Ashley, who delivers an impressive performance. Her expressions and dialogue delivery felt completely natural. This was my first time watching her in a movie, as I haven’t seen any of her previous films or TV shows. However, I was highly impressed with her work in this film.
Being a family drama, the movie uses a simple yet effective background score, featuring a mix of sad music and romantic background sound. Paul Saunderson has composed the original soundtrack for the film.
Should You Watch Picture This?
If you love drama movies and TV shows, you might find this worth watching for 1 hour and 40 minutes on Prime Video. However, it’s important to keep your expectations in check.
